Independent buyer and seller transactions

Subie Forums provides a place to publish listings and discuss them. The forum does not provide escrow, buyer protection, payment processing, identity verification, or a guarantee of a transaction. Staff approval, account age, trust level, or sponsor status is not a certification of a seller or item.

Listing requirements

Use Vehicles for complete cars, Parts for individual items, and Part Outs for donor vehicles being dismantled. Use the Rally Classifieds sections for competition-specific listings. Clearly mark For Sale, Want to Buy, or Trade and include an accurate description, condition, asking price or budget, location, shipping/pickup arrangements, and relevant compatibility details. Use current photographs you have permission to post. Disclose known defects, damage, missing parts, title issues, and material limitations. Do not claim a safety certification or compatibility you cannot support.

Keep one active listing per item or donor project, avoid repetitive bumps, and update the listing when sold, withdrawn, or changed. Do not post counterfeit, stolen, unlawful, or misrepresented goods. Do not request a payment to enter a raffle or other gambling arrangement through the marketplace. Vendors must identify themselves and follow the Sponsors & Vendors process before organized promotion.

Before paying or shipping

Verify the other party and the actual item independently. Check a vehicle’s ownership/title and have it inspected where appropriate. Confirm part numbers, condition, and compatibility for your exact vehicle. Agree in writing on the item, price, shipping, delivery, returns, and other terms. Choose a payment method whose protections you understand; irreversible transfers and payments outside buyer-protection programs may leave little recourse. Never send passwords, login codes, or identity documents in a public thread.

Buyers and sellers are responsible for legal capacity to transact and for applicable taxes, registration, shipping restrictions, safety requirements, and consumer obligations. The forum’s minimum account age does not establish legal capacity to buy or sell.

Disputes and suspicious activity

Flag suspected fraud and email [email protected] with listing URLs and relevant non-public evidence. Staff may restrict listings or accounts, but cannot guarantee refunds, compel delivery, or resolve every dispute. Contact your payment provider and appropriate authorities when needed. Post only factual, supportable transaction feedback; do not threaten, expose private information, or organize harassment.
