By creating an account or contributing to the forum, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or submit content. This agreement does not constitute consent to optional analytics, advertising, or other tracking.
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required by local law. If you are under the age of majority, you must have permission from a parent or guardian who can agree to these terms. Marketplace transactions require legal capacity to enter the transaction; participation in the forum does not establish that capacity.
Accounts and acceptable use
Provide an email address you control, keep credentials secure, and notify staff if your account is compromised. Do not impersonate others, evade suspensions, abuse other members, post unlawful content, expose private information, distribute malware, bypass access controls, or use the service to send spam or conduct fraud. Do not disrupt the forum or collect member information for unsolicited marketing. Automated access must respect permissions, applicable law, and reasonable rate limits.
Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you create. Submit only material you own or are authorized to share. Attribution alone does not authorize uploading someone else’s photographs, manuals, forum posts, software, or other protected material. Prefer links to legitimate sources when you do not have republication rights.
By submitting content, you grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, back up, display, distribute through the forum, and format that content as reasonably necessary to operate the service. This includes showing it to the audience of the category or message you selected and preserving discussion continuity. The license does not give us ownership of your work or authorize unrelated commercial reuse. Content may be removed or anonymized under our policies and applicable law; retained backups and legally required records may persist as described in the privacy notice.
You are responsible for your submissions. Do not post content that infringes rights, violates privacy, or breaches an obligation you owe someone else. Identify quotations, sources, corrections, and any commercial relationship relevant to your recommendation.
Moderation and account closure
Staff may review, move, edit, limit, hide, or remove content and restrict or close accounts to address rule violations, abuse, legal concerns, or operational needs. Some submissions may be held for approval; approval is not verification of every statement or transaction. Automated controls may assist moderation. If you believe a decision is mistaken, contact staff with the relevant topic or account details for review.
You may stop using the forum and request account closure. Public discussions may remain with attribution anonymized where appropriate, subject to applicable deletion rights. Do not rely on the forum as the only copy of information you need.
Vehicle information, events, and transactions
Member advice, calculators, specifications, event listings, and technical references can contain errors or become outdated. Verify the exact vehicle, market, model year, components, manufacturer instructions, and current competition rules before acting. Vehicle repair, tuning, driving, and motorsport can cause injury or property damage; obtain qualified assistance when needed. Nothing on the forum replaces professional inspection or applicable safety and legal requirements. We do not endorse unlawful road use or evasion of emissions or safety laws.
The marketplace connects independent users. Unless expressly stated in a separate agreement, the operator is not the seller, buyer, payment processor, escrow service, or guarantor. Badges, membership, moderation approval, and sponsorship do not establish identity, product condition, compatibility, safety, or trustworthiness. Buyers and sellers are responsible for their own agreements, taxes, payments, shipping, and legal compliance.
External sites and services have their own terms. Subie Forums is an independent community and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Subaru Corporation merely because Subaru vehicles are discussed.
Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the forum and its content are supplied as available without warranties of uninterrupted service, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free operation. To that extent, the operator is not responsible for losses caused by member content, third-party services, member transactions, or reliance on technical information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer or privacy rights.
Copyright and other concerns
Send reports to [email protected]. For a copyright report, identify the work, the forum URLs at issue, your authority to act, and a way to contact you. We may request additional information to assess the report and respond under applicable law. Do not include sensitive information in a public post. For urgent safety threats, contact the appropriate emergency service; the forum is not monitored as an emergency channel.
Changes
We may revise these terms and will update the date and provide notice of material changes where appropriate or required. Any further agreement or consent required by law will be obtained separately. Applicable law and mandatory rights govern disputes; these terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights.
